OnePlus 7 series to get system stability & battery performance improvements this month to fix damage done by Android 11

The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series devices have already bagged the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update.

While the update was initially pulled due to bugs, it was re-released as OxygenOS 11.0.0.2 for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series back in April.

However, the update to Android 11 for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series did not provide a pleasant experience to users.

To recall, users started reporting about numerous issues on their OnePlus 7 and 7T series devices post the OxygenOS 11 update.

Among them, the unstable refresh rate, camera not working, poor haptics, auto-rotate not working while charging, and much more issues.

Multiple reports about these and many more issues swarmed the OnePlus Community but the OEM did little to fix them.

The May OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series claimed to fix a lot of issues but ended up doing more harm than good.

Users are still reporting about multiple issues on their OnePlus 7/7T series devices but that might change this month.

As per OnePlus Support, the OEM is aware of the user feedback on the OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 7 series.

Also, OnePlus is working to improve the system stability and battery performance on the OnePlus 7 series via future updates.

Moreover, it is possible that the OTA for this month might bring some relief to OnePlus 7 series users plagued by the issues with OxygenOS 11.

However, the quality of OnePlus’ software updates has changed lately so it is unclear whether the upcoming OTA will indeed bring the said improvements or not.
