OnePlus 6T or OnePlus 7 series devices experiencing random vibrations? Try this quick fix

OnePlus is known for its flagship devices. However, the likes of OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 6T have a peculiar issue related to random vibration.

Multiple users have been reporting about their OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 series devices vibrating randomly without any reason.

The OEM has not yet made any official comments on the matter but considering the number of user reports, the issue appears to be widespread.

Users have even reported that random vibration occurs while they are using their OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 6T and also when the device is not being used.

While it is unclear what is causing this issue, some users have figured out a temporary fix for the problem.

Users have pointed out that switching off NFC (Near Field Communication) on the OnePlus 7 series devices and OnePlus 6T resolves the random vibration problem.

Some users who have tried this workaround have also corroborated that it indeed fixes the issue but that does not seem like a proper solution.

Nevertheless, users will have to make do with the given quick fix for the time being as the OEM is yet to address the issue on a wider scale.

Also, it appears that the issue has been persistent at least since January 2020 and most reports are from users of the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 series devices.

Back in May, several workarounds were suggested on Smart Android to resolve the random vibration issue but the latest NFC-related fix was not mentioned.

Hopefully, OnePlus looks into this issue and addresses it on a larger scale soon as a lot of users are affected because of it.
