New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on October 09, 2020) follows:
Samsung recently started updating its apps to support One UI 3.0 and among them was adapting Good Lock modules.
It must be noted that Good Lock modules get updated to support the latest OS update only when the build is nearly complete.
Now, a recent tweet from a Samsung Care Ambassador suggests the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) update is about ready.
The tweet is a teaser of sorts for Samsung Keys Cafe which is an extension of the Good Lock module to improve the One UI keyboard.
This might mean that One UI 3.0 (Android 11) might be the reason for the Samsung Keys Cafe Good Lock module update which is slated to arrive soon.
However, this is still based on our speculation as the OEM has not shed much light on the release date of the latest OS update.
One UI 3.0 (Android 11) public beta program is live in Korea and the US for the Samsung Galaxy S20 series devices.
Now, it seems that the development of One UI 3.0 (Android 11) for the Galaxy S10 series might have also started in the US.
We reported earlier that the One UI 3.0 public beta was nearly ready for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 series devices.
This new information is in sync with that and we hope that the OEM announces the public beta program for the Galaxy S10 series soon.
This clearly shows that Samsung is working hard to hold on to its promise of delivering three OS updates to its eligible devices. More on that here and here.
That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates when new information becomes available.
In the meantime, you can check out our One UI 3.0 (Android 11) update tracker to get the latest updates on the topic.
Update 1 (October 16)
The same Samsung Care Ambassador has highlighted, on Twitter, that the Samsung Keys Cafe module is now available to download on the Galaxy Store. Further, a Geekbench test result of the Galaxy S10 was spotted online with the device running Android 11.
Update 2 (October 22)
It seems that Samsung is close to rolling out the One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy S10 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This is because test builds have surfaced online showing a jump in the build numbers for both devices.
For the Galaxy S10 5G, the test build number is ETJ9, up from the latest official build DTH7. As for the Z Fold 2, the test build bears the build number BTJ4, up from the latest official build ATIA.
