One-Punch Man 116: Drive Night defeats Nyan with his battle transformations

One-Punch Man 116 just released today. The battle between Drive Knight and the threat level dragon monster Nyan continues. After the combined efforts of the class-A heroes to protect Waganma failed in the previous chapter, Drive Night shows up to finish the job.

Waganma gloated about a class-S hero’s arrival, saying monsters are no match for them. Nyan would not back out, however, as he also gloats about being a threat level dragon monster. He even emphasizes that he is better than the other monsters.

The battle begins

After slipping through the hands of many class-A heroes, Nyan will now face a class-S hero. Tha battle begins with Drive Knight circling Nyan in motorcycle form. As he does so, he released toxic gas, which Nyan escaped by slipping through the cracks on the road.

Little did Nyan know that Drive Knight slipped acid in those cracks which partially burned Nyan’s face. To retaliate, Nyan quickly maneuvers towards Drive Knight to attack but was countered with Drive Knight’s transformation: Knight.

Drive Knight then transformed again to Rook then to Bishop now with the intent to kill. However, Nyan was clever enough to slip inside Drive Knight’s body and attack him from the inside.

Battle Transformation: Gold

Nyan’s ability puts Drive Knight in an unfavorable situation. However, he thought of a way to turn use this disadvantage to turn the tables to his favor. Drive Knight activated his ultimate battle transformation, Gold. In this form, his basic functions are temporarily boosted.

The two prepared for their final attacks, or so Nyan thought. As they exchanged blows, Nyan once again entered Drive Knight’s body hoping to crush it for good from the inside. Little did he know that Drive Knight was rooting for him to do it.

Just as Nyan was about to commence his internal attacks, Drive Knight revealed the true strength of his battle transformation: Gold. Not only does it boost his basic functions, but it also emits incredible heat. This burned Nyan who was inside Drive Knight’s body, forcing him to come out.

As Nyan comes out of his body, Drive Knight stabs him with a silver blade ending his life. The battle concludes with Drive Knight taking the victory. One-Punch Man 116 ends with Drive Knight holding the dead body of Nyan.
