'One Piece Stampede' and ‘One Piece Gold’ to be screened again in Japan

To mark the release and rental options of Blu-ray & DVD, re-screening of the movie “One Piece Stampede’ in 4DX has been announced on One Piece’s official Twitter handle.

The theatrical version of ‘One Piece Stampede’ will re-screen across Japan on April 3. The announcement came with a key visual for the film.

As soon as the news broke, social media was abuzz with celebration among One Piece fans. Earlier, a Buggy version of the movie One Piece Stampede was also released for Sugo Fest.

One Piece: Stampede is the 14th and latest Japanese animated fantasy action-adventure from internationally popular anime franchise ‘One Piece’. The film is directed by Takashi Otsuka and produced by Toei Animation. Originally premiered in Osaka Station City Cinema and later in the rest of Japan in August 2019.

According to its official website, the movie was made under author One Piece author Oda Eiichiro’s supervision, and directed by Takashi Otsuka. Atsuhiro Tomioka and Takashi Otsuka were in charge of the screenplay, while Kohei Tanaka gave the music.

The movie covers the story from One Piece anime’s 20th season, right after the Carbonic Acid King arc. It opened to a thundering reception from One Piece fans, with an outstanding Box-Office performance. To mark over 10 billion yen in worldwide box-office earnings, the makers are re-screening the show.

Simultaneously, United Cinemas will also re-screen the animated film One Piece Gold on March 27. One Piece Gold is a 2016 animated film from the franchise produced by Toei Animation, that took the fan-base by a storm earlier. The plot follows One Piece anime’s 18th season, centering around story arcs Silver Mine and Zou.

One Piece Gold was also written and made under Eiichiro Oda’s supervision, while Hiroaki Miyamoto gave directions. Tsutomu Kuroiwa was in charge of screenplay and Yuuki Hayashi gave the music.
