With the new Emperors Kaido and BigMom’s alliance formation we saw in chapter 954, the pirate-ninja-samurai alliance will need more help than just the over 5000 men and weapons they have gathered so far. Here are some speculations on who might be their possible reinforcements.
Strawhat Fleet comes to the rescue
Leo and Sai, two of the commanders of the newly formed Strawhat Grand Fleet, were present at the Revirie as escorts to their respective kings. While there, they learned of Strawhat crew’s triumphant escape from Big Mom’s territory and Luffy’s new bounty and title as the 5th Emperor of the sea.
In later chapters, the Navy tapped a communication between Big Mom and Kaido unraveling Luffy and his crew’s destination (Wano Kingdom). They also learned of Big Mom’s plan to go to Wano to kill Luffy for shaming her. It is likely that the news befell the ears of Leo and Sai as well.
With their promise to help each other in times of need, we might see in chapter 955 (which, FYI, has been delayed) the commanders if Strawhat fleet setting sail for Wano in aid of their beloved Captain.
Eichiro Oda, the man behind the manga did mention during his announcement of Wano Arc’s release, that the battle at Marinefold will look cute compared to what will happen in Wano.
The Marinefold’s paramount war included over a hundred thousand men from the marines side, versus the White Beard pirates grand fleet and Impel Down’s fugitives.
It would seem appropriate that the Strawhat Grand Fleet be a part of the picture for this will probably be one of the most defining battle of Luffy’s journey to becoming the Pirate King.
