Update (Nov 17):

The company provided OnePlus 6T 3D tempered glass screen protector is now available, at least for some. Head here for the detailed story.

Original story follows:

Couple of weeks back, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus unveiled the newest bird in their flagship nest – the much awaited OnePlus 6T. Though the device went on sale within days from the launch event, a must have accessory i.e the official glass screen protector didn’t come bundled with it.

But the good news is that OP6T buyers won’t have to wait for long. What’s coming to light is that the official screen protector should be getatable from OnePlus stores by the end of this month.

This information came form a OnePlus Community Expert while addressing some of the FAQs related to the company’s latest flagship device. While answering a query related to the official screen protector they said:

The initial stock is expected to hit the store in the end of November.

Here’s their complete statement:

Before you think why wait for the official screen protector when random/unofficial protectors are already available in the market, let us inform you that OnePlus has clearly notified that 6T’s in-display fingerprint sensor may not work with “every screen protector”. So no point risking it.

Rest, like always, we are keeping an active tab on all related developments and will update the story as and when the company provided glass screen protector gets on sale.
