The Oculus Quest lineup is among the most popular VR devices today. Meta recently launched the Oculus Quest Pro as its new flagship VR headset, but the Oculus Quest 1 and 2 still have many attractions.

The new Oculus Quest Pro came with a big price tag of $1,500, so many users are turning to the classic Oculus Quest 1 and 2 as a way to access advanced VR experiences without breaking the bank.

However, Meta’s VR headsets have not been without their problems. For instance, here we have covered situations like connectivity issues, and even charging ports melting for some users.

Now, Oculus Quest 1 and 2 users are reporting that some games and apps are not loading or opening on their VR headsets.

According to multiple reports, several Oculus Quest 1 and 2 users are currently unable to launch games or apps. When they try to do so, the device crashes and returns to the home screen or main menu.

The issue may affect some or all games and apps in the users’ library.

Does anyone else have this problem with the oculus quest 2? My apps wont launch, they will begin to load up then put me back to my menu screen and idk why. I’ve checked if it has an update and it says no updates available.

App not working

Just bought Indepth Unchained, loaded on to Quest 2 and Quest Pro, on both machines it shows the opening title flickers and returns me to my home environment. Any ideas what I can do?

The issue is becoming really frustrating for those who cannot access the VR content that they’ve already paid for. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a specific cause or trigger for it.

Unfortunately, there is still no official word on the problem from the Meta support team. Also, there is no workaround that may help fix or mitigate it in the meantime.

We will be monitoring the situation to update this story as events unfold in the future.

04:02 pm (IST): One user says that the developer updated the app that wasn’t working and now it’s fine. Therefore, those who are facing issues with apps not loading should keep an eye out for any new updates.
