Also, users have been getting the ‘Something is not right’ error message and are being logged out of their accounts.

The blurring and buffering issue appears to be widespread and is affecting NOW Box, Smart Stick, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and smart TV users.

While it is unclear as to what is causing this issue, subscribers may get a fix for the same in the near future.

The NOW Help Team Twitter handle has said that they are aware of the streaming issue and a fix is being looked into.

However, it is unclear how long it will take to fix the buffering and blurring issue as no ETA has been provided.

Users can try some workarounds given below which might help in fixing the said streaming issue for the time being.

These include reducing the number of devices using the internet connection, stopping large downloads, and testing the internet speed.

Users of the NOW Box or Smart Stick can try to restart the NOW app and program they are watching, connect the box with an ethernet cable, and set the bitrate to automatic.

Users of the PlayStation 4 and 5 can try reinstalling the NOW app and setting up a wired connection. Smart TV users should check for software updates and problems with their home network.

Changing the amount of ‘bits’ of data (the techie term is bitrate) streaming through your NOW Box or Smart Stick could reduce buffering. Press these buttons quickly on your remote control:

1. Home x5
2. Rewind x3
3. Fast Forward x2

You’ll see a screen with various bitrate options. Just select ‘Automatic’ and try watching your program again.
