New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on Feb. 10, 2023) follows:
Nothing Ear (stick) is a popular wireless earbud that has a custom 12.6 mm dynamic driver, clear Voice Technology, Press controls and up to 29 hrs of listening time.
This feather-light earphone claims to provide a vivid and high-quality sound experience to its users.
Despite its popularity, claims, and features, some users are experiencing a problem with their earbuds where the volume becomes unbalanced.
Nothing Ear (Stick) volume lower on one side
According to reports (1,2,3,4,5), the volume of one of the earbuds (left or right, randomly) becomes significantly quieter after a while, leading to a subpar audio experience.
Recently I noticed that my right Ear (stick) has been quieter and a little more muffled than the left one

Affected users have taken to social media platforms and forums to discuss the issue and seek a solution.
Some attempted to restart the earbuds, checked battery levels, and change audio settings but the issue still persists.
Some users also tried to see if replacing the product can be of help, however, the issue stays intact suggesting that it could even be a firmware problem or even a quality control problem.
It is also worth noting that in most of the reports, the sound is submissive on the right side while the left side of the earphones remains dominant.
Nothing has not yet acknowledged the volume lower on one side issue, leaving the affected users waiting for a solution to this problem.
At present, Carl Pei’s Nothing is also planning to venture into the premium smartphone segment with the next model.
So it’s time the company gets a grip over its hardware as even the Nothing Phone (1) received a lot of criticism over the lack of quality control.
If the problem stems from a botched firmware update, we hope Nothing rolls out a patch to swiftly address the volume lower on one side issue on its Ear (stick).
Until then, please keep tabs on this story as we will update it with further developments as and when we come across any.
