Probably after Samsung, Nokia is the name that pops-up at the moment, when we talk about some of the OEMs that are quick in timely updating its devices.
We have seen Samsung update its devices with the latest security updates well ahead of other smartphone manufacturers, even faster than Google.
The second position should surely go to Nokia as in the recent past, the OEM has been quite busy in either upgrading its devices to the Android 10 OS or pushing the latest security updates.
Just yesterday, we have reported that a bunch of Nokia phones picked up the May 2020 security patches. And among them was the Nokia 7.2 phone as well.
If you see closely at the update changelog, it does not mention anything beyond being an incremental security update. Moreover, the weight of the update also suggests the same.
But, as per one of the user reports on Twitter, this Nokia 7.2 May 2020 security update brought in the AR core support for the device as well. Users of the Nokia 7.2 can now enjoy augmented reality services on their devices with the support of AR Core.
With the help of AR Core support on the Nokia 7.2, your phone can sense into the environment and interact with the information available.
As mentioned on the official website, “ARCore’s understanding of the real world lets you place objects, annotations, or other information in a way that integrates seamlessly with the real world.”

Besides, the official AR Core website has also mentioned the 7.2 in the list of devices supported for AR Core. However, as mentioned from the official website, the AR Core support was enabled with the Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2.
But, it seems like the AR Core support has been triggered for some of the users with the latest May 2020 patchset. Whatever the case may be, Nokia 7.2 now officially supports AR Core.
