Back in early March, HMD Global, the parent company of the Nokia brand, had to revise its Android 10 update roadmap keeping in mind the COVID-19 scenario across the globe.
Going as per the newly released update roadmap, the Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2 was pushed more further to somewhere between Q1 2020 and Q2 2020.
However, the company adhered to the revised timeline and pushed the Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2 as per the scheduled date. But, the devices in the US were still waiting to experience the Android 10 OS on their units.
And it seems like their wait is finally over because as per the latest reports, Nokia is rolling out the Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.2 (TA-1178) devices in the US.
Note that the update comes with version number V2.270 and tags along the latest April 2020 security patchset with improved system stability, user interface improvements and all the Android 10 core features for the device.
The update sizes around 1.55 GB which is okay considering it comes with the Android 10 OS. You can check out the official changelog of the latest update received on the Nokia 7.2 smartphone:

As a reminder to our PiunikaWeb readers, earlier we have documented a post where the Android 10 update on Nokia 7.2 triggered the dual SIM recovery mode bug. Several users of Nokia 7.2 with model TA-1196 and TA-1193 were left affected by this issue.
The company was also quick to react to this situation and acknowledged this issue surfacing on the Nokia 7.2 after the Android 10 update and said that this issue will be fixed shortly.
But as of yet, there is no information as to whether it has been addressed already or not. Here’s hoping that Nokia has fixed the known glitch before pushing the update widely for the users in the US.
Let us know in the comments below if there are any issues with this latest Android 10 update released for the Nokia 7.2 units in the US or whether the dual-SIM bug has been fixed for the previous Android 10 update?
