HMD Global is on a roll. The Finnish company is now rolling out the stable Nokia 6.1 Android 10 update, the third Nokia device to receive the OS in as many days.

Nokia’s Android 10 update started rolling out to the second batch earlier this week with the Nokia 6.1 Plus and later came the Nokia 7 Plus. It was only a matter of time before the OS hits the Nokia 6.1.

The Nokia 6.1 was part of the trio expected to follow the Nokia 8.1, Nokia 9 PureView, and Nokia 7.1 in receiving the update to Android 10. With HMD having pushed the OS to these three, only one thing was going to happen – and it’s happening.

Similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia 6.1 Android 10 update is rolling out as version V4.10C. It’s the heaviest of the three at 1444.3MB, although not by a bigger margin.

As you would expect, the changes attached to the update are also the same as what the other two models received, including the older December security patch. Below is a summary of the changes the Nokia 6.1 Android 10 update brings:

1. Dark mode – Take it easy on your eyes.
2. Smart reply – Save more time with recommended actions.
3. Gesture navigation – Get around with a swipe and a pull.
4. Additional controls for privacy and location.
5. Google Security patch (2019-12).

The OS is arriving over the air and typically, it takes time for OTA updates to hit all units. Granted, the wait for the download notification to arrive could take several days.
