Receiving an update on your device is such an exciting thing. This is because such updates often bring new features, new versions of Android, or sometimes, fixing bugs.
Lately, Android phone-makers have up-ed their game, and today, it is not uncommon to see even the smallest OEM being able to roll out regular security patches to their devices. Today, we have a roundup of updates rolling out to various devices.
First up is the Honor 9N. The Honor 9N, sold in some markets as the Honor 9i was first announced back in July 2018. Honor is pushing out the April 2020 security patch to this device.
This update does not bring much more than just a bump in the Android security patch level. The changelog is also the generic one that we see with these regular monthly patches. This update brings the software version number C675E17R1P4 and is based on EMUI 9.1. It weighs in at a little less than 200 MB and is rolling out to eligible devices right now.
Also getting updated to the April 2020 Android security patch update is the Umidigi F2. The new FOTA update seeks to add some new functions and to update the security patch for the Umidigi F2. The update is already rolling out.
Among the things that this update brings to the Umidigi F2 include, the addition of a screen recording feature and Ok Google on the lock screen. Also added is the fast charging indicator on the lock screen.
Oppo is also rolling out an update to the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. This update brings with it the April 2020 Android security patch update. This update brings various camera performance enhancements.
The update has been spotted in Saudi Arabia and should begin rolling out in more regions in the coming few days and weeks. We shall update with the download links as and when they become available.
Another Oppo device that is getting updated to the April security patch update is the Oppo K3. This update brings little more than the bump in the security patch level as demonstrated by the following generic changelog.

Umidigi is also rolling out an update to its Umidigi A5 Pro. This update brings with it an updated security patch level and updated Google apps.
It is not immediately clear which month’s security patch this is. The update is already live for many users and you might want to check the Wireless Update app to check if it is available for your device.
Huawei’s Y9 Prime is also getting an update. This update brings with it the April 2020 Android security patch level for this device. The update has been sported in Mexico and it should not be long before it is rolled out widely to the same device in more regions.
The update is based on EMUI 10 and brings with it software version number C69E5R1P2. Keep an eye on your device for a notification on the availability of this update for your device.
Vivo is rolling out the May 2020 security patch update to the Vivo Z1 Pro. This update comes at a time when users are eagerly awaiting the Android 10 update for this device. Other than bringing the latest security patch (2020-05-01), this build also brings a few camera enhancements to this device.

Not to be left behind, LG has just confirmed a list of devices that it plans to push out the April 2020 security update to. These devices include the LG V50 ThinQ, G8 ThinQ, V35 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, & X5 (2018). The release notes also details the changes that this update brings.
These changes include chip firmware updates from Qualcomm, security patches from Google and updated Qualcomm Wi-Fi driver exception fix.
These updates have either started rolling out or should start hitting devices pretty soon. Be on the lookout for these updates to your devices.
