Motorola support divided on number of Moto Edge 30 Ultra Android OS upgrades - Is it 1, 2 or 3 updates? Here're the details

At the time of Motorola’s Moto Edge 30 Ultra launch, the company had promised that the device will get 3 OS updates.

However, a few weeks ago, a Moto Agent in the community forum revealed (1,2) that this smartphone will get two OS updates only.

And as expected, this didn’t sit well with the phone owners owing to the amount they had spent on purchasing this flagship device.

After hearing about the contradictory information, Moto Edge 30 Ultra owners (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) got agitated and took to the web forums to express their concerns on the matter.

I bought the edge 30 ultra thinking It was going to get 3 versions of android. Now I feel scammed tbf. I feel like I should’ve just waited for Samsung s23 and that’s it. Well that is a lesson learned, next time I will buy something else, probably Samsung.

Nevertheless, after further investigation, it was discovered that the first agent had accidentally passed on the wrong information to their team. They clarified in a post that the mobile phone will receive up to an Android 15 upgrade.

In another twist, Motorola India support informed a Twitter user that the Edge 30 Ultra will receive only a single OS update. This made smartphone owners confused.

It is worth mentioning that most companies outsource their Twitter support to third parties. This sometimes leads to inaccurate information being shared.

So, there is a possibility that the Motorola India support team on Twitter might have wrongly made this claim.

However, looking at the company’s track record, it won’t come up as a surprise if Motorola decides to backtrack on its 3 OS update commitment. They had done the same in Motorola One Ace 5G smartphone’s case as well.
