New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on March 17, 2021) follows:
Motorola is one of the few OEMs that need to buckle up and get their software updates scene sorted to keep themselves relevant.
The company revealed a list of smartphones that will get the update to Android 11 last year, however, failed to mention any dates or even a month for that matter as to when the devices will get the new Android version.
That said, it finally released Android 11 to the Motorola G Pro towards the tail end of January and then even sent out the update to the Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power a few days ago.
And most recently, Verizon and Motorola also began rolling out Android 11 for the Motorola Edge+ in the U.S.
Now, adding to the good news for Motorola fans, it appears that the company’s folding flagship — the Motorola Razr 5G — is also picking up the update to Android 11.
This information comes straight from the Moto Updates Tracker group on Telegram that automatically tracks and shares update details for Motorola phones.
According to the information at hand, the update is rolling out for the Dual SIM variant of the Motorola Razr 5G in Japan with the model number XT2071-4-DS.
It carries the software version RPS31.Q1-40-17-12 and most likely brings the March or February security patch, however, we’re yet to get confirmation on that since we haven’t come across any user reports.
