The Motorola One Macro was the company’s ‘camera-centric’ budget smartphone that released back in 2019. While the specifications are nothing to write home about, Motorola’s stock-Android UI is definitely a bonus.

Further, the device released with Android 9 Pie on board with little to no bloatware from Motorola. Much like any other Android OEM, Motorola also releases at least two major Android updates to some of its phones, notably excluding the Moto G series.

Thus, the Motorola One Macro has been in line to receive the Android 10 update. Unfortunately, it’s now going to be a year since Google announced Android 10, and it’s yet to be released for this device. For those curious, we’ve rounded up all the information regarding the update for the device here.

On the subject of updates, the Motorola One Macro is now picking up the July security patch. This comes as version PMDS29.70-81-5 and is rolling out via OTA. Sadly, there’s no sight of Android 10.

This new software appears to be rolling out to users in India. There are no other mentioned improvements or features that come along with this version. Further, the company has still not provided an ETA for Android 10 on the Motorola One Macro.

While Android 10 is expected to arrive eventually, there’s also the question of whether the device will get the Android 11 update. As mentioned above, Motorola typically releases at least two major Android versions.

Taking that into account, there is a possibility that the One Macro will get the upcoming Android version. You can check out our Motorola Android 11 update tracker to know more about the rollout. Until then, the wait continues…
