Motorola Moto G7 Power, G6/G6 Play & Z4 October security updates announced

Motorola has been doing some efforts for taking up its lost position in today’s smartphone market which is dominated by Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei, etc. 

Since its inception way back in 2009, with the introduction of its first Android smartphone, the company has seen its fair share of highs and lows. For a quite brief time, Motorola was the go-to brand in the mid-range segment. 

However, due to lack of innovation and features in their devices, Motorola has just not been able to live up to the expectations. Moreover, the blams can be equally divided on the fact that the company has not been able to bring in a full-of-feature, flagship device. 

But, this year it seems that the company has pulled up its sleeves to leave a mark in the smartphone market. Motorola’s Global Marketing Strategy Head, Francoise LaFlamme, confirmed that the company will be coming up with premium 5G smartphones. 

Rolling out security updates for the devices is also one of the major factors that have kept the brand alive in the market. Because in a recent development, Motorola has announced October security updates for, not one, but for more devices namely Motorola Moto G7 Power, G6, G6 Play, and Z4.

Previously, Motorola announced the October security updates for another list of devices i.e. Motorola One Action, Moto G7, G7 Plus G7 Play e5 Play and X4. Moreover, October updates were also announced for the Motorola One. 

Talking about the announcement for the Moto G7 Power, G6, G6 Play mentions only the October 2019 security update while the announcement for the Moto Z4 has some stability improvements along with the security update as well.

Motorola G7 Power

Note that the update will be rolled out in batches via OTA and will take some time in reaching all the devices. In the meantime, you can always go ahead and check for the updates on your device by going to System>>System Updates>>Download and Install.
