Motorola usually lags other major OEMs when it comes to issuing firmware or security. And, something similar appears to be happening with the Android 10 update as well.
Though Motorola started releasing Android 10 stable update last month, several popular devices are still to get the update, including Moto G7 Power. And, if the latest development is anything to go by, then users may have to wait more for Moto G7 Power Android 10 update.
A Reddit user recently noted that the company rolled the February security patch for the Moto G7 Power. Further, the user also expressed disappointment over no signs of Moto G7 Power Android 10 update.
Though the roll-out of the February security patch is no surety of a delay in Android 10 update for Moto G7 Power, it does disappoint users who have long been waiting for the update. Also, the roll-out of the security patch does casts doubt on an imminent release of the Android 10 update.
Motorola is already very late in launching the Android 10 update considering Google released the final version of the Android 10 on September 3rd. Moreover, unlike many other major OEMs, Motorola hasn’t released any road map for updating the devices to the latest OS.
Additionally, in a disappointment for the Moto G7 users, a recent tweet from official Motorola Support handle suggested that the updates won’t be arriving anytime soon. Something similar was said by customer support while responding to a user query about Android 10 for Motorola One Zoom.
