Motorola rolled the stable Android 10 update for the Moto G7 Plus users in Brazil in January. Since then the company has been consistently releasing the Android 10 update for the G7 Plus users in other regions, including Chile, Italy, Argentina and most recently in Mexico.
However, other devices in the Moto G7 lineup are not as fortunate as the G7 Plus. Last month, we reported about a tweet from Motorola support which suggested that the Moto G7 Android 10 update would arrive sometime later this year.
Now, a tweet Motorola France claims that the Moto G7 Android 10 update would arrive over the next three months (or we can say in the next quarter). This confuses things a bit because the earlier tweet suggested a timeline for later this year, but the recent one says in the next quarter.
One may argue that the latest tweet is from Motorola France, so it is talking about Android 10 rollout for France only and not globally. Even if such is the case, the delay in releasing the same update for the same device, but for different regions should not be of a quarter.
Usually, the OEMs rollout update to all regions within a month or two of first releasing it. This means if Moto G7 users in France get the latest Android update in the next quarter, other regions should also follow soon.
However, this is just a speculation for now until the company comes up with a confirmation. You don’t worry as whenever there is any information on this front you will be the first to know as we will be updating the story with every development related to Android 10 update for Moto G7.
