Motorola Moto G 5G Plus Android 11 update released

Motorola has started seeding Android 11 to its devices recently and has already got the new Android version to a handful of smartphones such as the Moto G8/G8 Power and the Moto G Pro.

Of course, the update is only live for users in a few regions but it’s still a good sign. And it appears Motorola isn’t slowing down.

New developments indicate that the company has begun seeding Android 11 for the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus as well.

We recently reported that Motorola support had confirmed that the update would go live for the device soon. And it seems that “soon” has finally arrived.

The update is rolling out as version RPN31.Q4U-39-27-5 for the Retail units of the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus (XT2075-3-DS) in Brazil.

Lenovo-owned Motorola is yet to confirm the release of Android 11 for the Moto G 5G Plus which means that the update has only just begun hitting handsets.

Due to the nature of Android updates, it might take a few hours or even days before you get the update on your unit.

The information regarding Android 11 for the Moto G 5G Plus was shared via the Moto Updates tracker group on Telegram.

This new update should also carry the February or March security patch, although we have no means to confirm the same at the time of writing.

Moreover, we have not yet come across any reports from users who have confirmed that the update is live for the device in Brazil.

That said, it’s highly likely that the update would begin rolling out on a wider scale soon. Hence, users in other regions can expect to bag the update over the following weeks.
