Three is one of the most popular mobile carriers in the UK and the fact that the Motorola Edge+ did not support 5G on the network out-of-the-box, or even months after launch is a tad disappointing.
The device was launched way back in July. And while Motorola did reveal that they were actively working with Three to bring 5G support to its devices, it has been several months, and still no update.
My Edge Plus is not able to see 5G on the Three UK network. Is there an update for it?

That is, until now. Several eager users have been asking for an update on the matter for quite a while, and one of the forum administrators has finally given a reply.
Edge+ is not currently able to get 5G on Three UK, but this capability is expected in a future software update. As a rule, we don’t provide timing on updates, but if I can get a timeframe to share, I will.

While this does sound like good news, there is still no ETA on when users will actually receive the update.
Given the fact that it has already been months since Motorola admitted to being working on an update, it would not be unwise to think it is still going to take infinitely longer.
However, the above could also imply that the development is nearing its final stages, fingers crossed. We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update once we get more information on the same.
For now, it can be comforting to know that the Motorola Edge+ isn’t the only Motorola device with 5G woes, as previously it was the Moto G 5G Plus that stole the limelight with regards to the same. You can read all about it here.
