Xiaomi promised to release the stable MIUI 12 update to a handful of its devices in June 2020 as part of phase 1 of the rollout. With the month coming to a conclusion, its time to begin phase 2 of the project.
At the time of announcing the MIUI 12 roadmap, Xiaomi revealed that the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Lite, Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, Redmi K20 and Redmi K30 series would be the devices that get updated first as part of phase 1.
Indeed, as of this writing, the above devices have already picked up the MIUI 12 stable update back at home. The likes of Mi 9, Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, and Redmi K20 have also been upgraded in markets outside China, but Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro users in Europe are still on the waiting list.

For those still looking forward to the release of MIUI 12, the wait shouldn’t be long, although the rollout will definitely vary from device to device. What you should know, though, is that the process (phase 2) begins soon.

IST 01:30 pm: According to recent reports, Xiaomi has completed the release of MIUI 12 for eligible devices from the second batch. It will now be able to shift its focus to updating devices from the third-batch. See the full story here.
