Earlier this week, thousands of reports related to Microsoft Teams were picked up by Downdetector, confirming that users of the platform were facing log-in and server connection issues.
As it turned out, it wasn’t just Teams, but also other Microsoft platforms such as Azure, Outlook and Office 365 were experiencing related issues.

In acknowledgement of the worldwide issue, Microsoft said that it could have been caused by recent changes to the authentication system.
To mitigate this, the Redmond-based company said that it would be pulling the update that brought changes to its authentication system.
Of course, this is aimed at merely reducing the impact as the company looks for the culprit and permanent solution to the issue.
Besides Teams, Outlook, Azure and Office 365, other affected services include Admin portal, Exchange Online, Office Licensing, Forms, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Streams, and Yammer.
Although not mentioned, another Microsoft platform experiencing related issues is the Intune Company Portal app, with affected users saying the app is not working accordingly.
The Google Play Store reviews section of the Intune Company Portal app is awash with 1-star reviews from enraged users demanding answers from Microsoft for an app that’s not working.
Apparently, multiple users of the Intune Portal app are unable to sign in to the app, with the constant prompt to install the app again and again proving to be a major nuisance.
In essence, affected users say they are stuck in a loop of signing in and installing the app, but even so, nothing is working for them.
This app is awful. Any time I want to look at my emails it tells me to sign in and install the app again. Once installed, it goes through the whole process again. Signed in 11 times in an hour and still get the same ‘you need to sign in’ message
After several attempts to get this to work, I was finally able to get my work outlook email. However, none of the other apps work. I’ve tried to set up teams at least ten times and like everyone else, I get stuck in a loop. It says I need to set up a work profile, takes me to the play store for this app, I open the app and nothing happens since I’ve already set up a work profile. I give up on being able to use any other apps.
There are plenty of other similar reports in the Intune Company Portal reviews section in the Play Store, enough to drag down the app’s overall rating to just 3.4.
Granted, Microsoft should be looking for a solution to this issue alongside the M365 fixes, but until then, one affected user seems to have found a workaround.
Apparently, getting an older version of the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app should be enough to address the issue where the app isn’t working. Find it here.
But to ensure this workaround remains, be sure to disable apps auto-update in the Google Play Store’s Settings menu, otherwise, the Intune app will update to the latest version, which appears to be the culprit.
