Xiaomi’s new skin on top of Android has got Xiaomi users excited and eagerly awaiting the rollout of the same to their devices. A good number of eligible devices have already received the update to MIUI 12 and today, Xiaomi is adding the Mi 9T Pro (Redmi K20 Pro) to this list.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and the Redmi K20 Pro are essentially the same device sold by Xiaomi under the two different names in various markets across the globe.

Mi 9T Pro aka Redmi K20 Pro

MIUI 12 is rolling out to this device in its stable form. The update to the Mi 9T Pro can be identified by its software version number V12.0.1.0.QFKMIXM and is rolling out to users who are on the current latest build, V11.0.4.0.QFKMIXM.

For users with the Chinese units, aka the Redmi K20 Pro, the same build is rolling out to them, only this time the software version is V12.0.2.0.QFKCNXM. Again, the update goes out to users with the current latest build, version V11.0.8.0.QFKCNXM.

As this is essentially a complete system update, the changelog is rather extensive. Below is the changelog for this update.

Now, onto the next Xiaomi device. The Xiaomi Mi 9 is also getting a stable build of MIUI 12. The update is hitting devices in Europe first before it then trickles down to Mi 9 units in other regions.

The update, which is tagged MIUI 12 Beta EEA Stable, can be identified by its software version number V12.0.1.0 QFAEUXM. This build is currently being pushed to random Mi 9 users in an early rollout to ensure no major bugs are present.

Update 7 (August 12)

The Global Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has bagged yet another update. This time around the device is receiving the July security patch. The new update brings the software version 12.0.2.0.QFKMIXM, up from 12.0.1.0.QFKMIXM. It’s rolling out via an OTA package of 394MB.
