Update (September 11): The OnePlus 6T has been officially confirmed by the Chinese company. More info on that here.
Original story follows:
The OnePlus 6T has suddenly become all the rage now, thanks to the official confirmation from the Chinese company about the phone’s unveiling date (October 17) as well as in-screen fingerprint sensor.
As far as leaks and rumors are concerned, we have seen an alleged retail box as well as specifications for the device.
But one thing that has been missing all this while is a peek at how the flagship looks in flesh.
Well, that’s changing now, it appears, as we’ve spotted an image on China’s Weibo showing a real life capture of what the uploader of the image says is the OnePlus 6T.
As you can see, there are plenty of things that suggest it’s the real deal, like the waterdrop notch, as well as the same lockscreen that we saw in the official confirmation from OnePlus yesterday.
Also, the front panel design is similar to what we’ve already seen in the retail box leak.
But of course, some of these details could be faked as well, since images can easily be manipulated.
Also, it’s possible that the phone in the picture is an Oppo R17 series unit. Sadly, we couldn’t find a shot of the back of the phone.
What do you think? Is this the real deal? If yes, how do feel about the OnePlus 6T? Let us know your thoughts in comments below.
