Lost Ark March patch ('Art of War' update) delayed, here's the official word

Since its arrival to global markets (thanks to Amazon games), Lost Ark has managed to create a loyal community of players. Although its beginnings were complicated due to server issues, bots, and more.

To keep interest alive, the South Korean-born MMO receives new content from time to time. ‘Art of War’ is the most recent update that should arrive in the next few hours.

However, a last-minute development caused the Lost Ark March patch (‘Art of War’ update) to be unexpectedly delayed, leaving many disappointed.

The initial rollout date of the Lost Ark Art of War patch was set for March 15 (12AM PDT, 7AM UTC). For its implementation, the development team scheduled a 4-hour maintenance.

Players hoped that they would be able to wake up the next day enjoying the new content and improvements. Sadly, the plans didn’t go quite right.

Unfortunately during testing we found an issue with the March update that was not able to be resolved.

Due to this, we will not be able to release the March update at this time. There will still be a downtime tonight at 12 AM PT

Regarding the reason for the delay, the company only revealed that it is due to a last-minute bug found during tests. However, they did not offer more specific details about the bug in question.

In a way, it’s good that a potentially ‘broken’ update didn’t reach players. But that has not prevented their negative reaction to the situation.

1. Who cares about the inner workings of AGS-SG relationship? AGS is the publisher, they take the hit for all fuck ups.

2. The patch should have been ready and tested at least a week ago. Exactly so that kind of shit DOESN’T happen.

I sincerely highly doubt it but part of me is curious if there is someone out there who was going to play (or return) with the march update, but completely changed their mind with the delay

Lost Ark players think that the patch should be ready and tested days before from the official rollout date.

There are also players who were thinking of returning to the game with the Lost Ark March patch, but the delay made them change their minds.

There are even people who feel ‘betrayed’ by the developers, as they had claimed that the patch was completed ‘ahead of time’. So, the general disappointment and loss of confidence is quite palpable.
