The LG X6 is known as the LG Q60 outside of Korea and is also sold as the LG K12 Prime in Brazil. Yes, that’s right, and I still have no idea why brands continue to sell phones with different names in different regions.

Nevertheless, moving LG’s questionable naming scheme aside, the company released the LG X6 last year and the device came with Android 9 Pie running out of the box. Since then, users have been waiting for the Android 10 update to arrive, which, up until this post remained elusive.

But thankfully, LG X6 users won’t have to continue waiting for the Android 10 update to arrive on their devices. This is because the company has officially released the stable version of Android 10 for the device in Korea.

This new update brings the LG UX 9.0 skin, which in turn, brings a host of new features including a system-wide night mode theme, gesture navigation, and new accessibility functions. According to LG’s Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) OS update schedule, the LG X6 aka LG Q60 was expected to receive the update in Q3.

Similarly, the LG Q70 also picked up the Android 10 update in Korea a few weeks ago, which too was expected to get the LG UX 9.0 skin based on Android 10 in Q3.

Therefore, it’s good to see the company sticking to the original schedule and not delaying the rollout. Unfortunately, we do not know the Android 10 update status for the variants of the LG X6 that are sold outside of the company’s home country.

As usual, we will continue to track the Android 10 rollout for LG devices and will post an update once the new software is available in other regions. In the meantime, you can check out our LG Android 10 (LG UX 9.0) update tracker to know when it arrives on your device.
