New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on June 09, 2020) follows:

LG has started rolling out the stable version of its UX 9.0 interface based on Android 10 operating system to the LG V35 ThinQ in Korea.

The update has been in the mills for quite some time, with the kernel sources popping up a couple or so weeks ago to confirm the V35 ThinQ Android 10 update was almost ready.

Matter of fact, folks on the AT&T variant in the U.S. already picked up the stable update to Android 10. This rollout was in line with the company’s Android 10 roadmap that had promised the stable LG V35 ThinQ UX 9.0 update in Q2 2020.

LG V35 ThinQ Android 10 update is the second and last OS upgrade

Since the V35 ThinQ is only carried by AT&T in the U.S. (also on Google Fi), the majority of the remaining users of the device in the country are on the unlocked variant. Up to now, this variant hasn’t received Android 10.

There is a way out, for those who enjoy living on the edge. LG has started rolling out the stable Android 10 OTA to the V35 ThinQ in South Korea. It’s interesting that AT&T got it ahead of the Korean variant, but that’s none of our concern for now.

Our concern is getting Android 10 to work on the U.S. unlocked variant of the V35 ThinQ and apparently, the firmware rolling out in Korea can be cross-flashed to work on the U.S. variant using the LGUP flash tool.

A Redditor was generous enough to share the official .kdz file needed to install Android 10 on your handset. The download link can be found below. You may also check out this article in case you need help with cross-flashing the firmware.

Update (June 12, 2020)

It looks like the download link has been pulled down, so you have to wait for the OTA update.
