LG isn’t really the fastest to update its smartphones. However, slowly but surely, the company does push out updates for all eligible devices. Many LG phones have already begun receiving or have received the Android 10 update.
The LG G7 ThinQ is one of the latest phones from it to receive the stable update. This new update brings LG’s custom UX 9.0 skin based on Android 10. And now, LG Q70 users are also in luck since the update is finally rolling out to users in Korea. The announcement for the release of the Android 10 update for the LG Q70 was made on the company’s Korean website.
It brings a host of new features and improvements to enhance the user experience. Some of the major features include the new gesture navigation, pop-up window support, and the improved night mode option. LG Q70 users in Korea should be receiving the OTA update notification at any moment.
Furthermore, now that the new software version is available in Korea, we expect global units receive it soon. In its software rollout schedule for Q3 of 2020, the company did mention that the Q70 will be receiving the Android 10 update. Thus, it’s good to see LG stick to their word and deliver it on time.
The LG Q70 released late last year and came with Android 9 Pie pre-loaded. Therefore, Android 10 is the first major Android update for the device. At the moment, LG Q70 users outside of Korea will have to wait a while longer. Moreover, there’s no definitive date as to when to expect the update to be released.
One thing worth noting is that you will not be able to roll back to Android 9 Pie after installing the latest update.
