Reports indicate that users are not able to access the option anywhere in the ‘Voice and Data’ tab or anywhere in the ‘Mobile Data’ category for that matter.

It appears that users who use Verizon and AT&T are unlikely to have access to the 5G Standalone option or it might appear grayed out. Apparently, Verizon and AT&T still use NSA mode rather than installing the 5G SA equipment.

In fact, AT&T appears to have little interest in deploying the 5G SA. For reference, you can check out the image attached below:

So, the same justification applies to those who reside in other nations. Their provider must first enable this network before they can see the toggle in their preferences.

Hence, only Vivo or Claro (Brazil) has so far been verified to enable 5G SA on iOS 16.4 apart from T-Mobile.
