Apple’s iOS 14.5 is indeed a big update as it offers many new features and a lot of bug fixes.

For instance, some iPhone 11 Pro Max users were facing the inaccurate battery health estimates issue which is fixed in iOS 14.5.

It must be noted that the Apple iPad lineup has also received the iPadOS 14.5 update which is the tablet specific version of iOS 14.5.

However, Apple users have been facing an issue with the iMessage app where group conversation keeps on muting.

Now, the said issue might have been addressed in the latest iOS/iPadOS update if a user report is anything to go by.

The user has clearly said that the iOS 14.5 update (iPadOS 14.5 in their case) seems to have resolved the group iMessage conversation keeps muting issue.

Since there is only one user report on the matter so far, it is unclear whether the issue has indeed been fixed or not.

Also, the release notes for iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 outline that the issue where the iMessage app may regularly fail to send texts in several threads has been fixed.

While this might suggest that the group conversation keeps muting issue has been fixed, there is still some confusion.

This is simply due to lack of clarity on whether the issue being referred to in the release notes is the same as the group conversation keeps muting issue.

So, if you were facing the group conversation keeps muting issue, feel free to drop a comment below and let us know whether it has been fixed in iOS/iPadOS 14.5 or not.
