As per multiple reports, users are facing an issue where the in-app fingerprint unlock feature is not working on some OnePlus devices running OxygenOS 11.

It seems the said issue is affecting users of the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus Nord.

The issue appears to be widespread as many reports regarding the same have been pooling in on OnePlus Community.

Also, some users of the OnePlus 7T and Nord have reported that the issue gets resolved for some time after clearing the cache and restarting the device.

However, this is not a permanent fix as the problem starts occurring again after a while. It is unclear what the actual cause of this issue is as the OEM has not provided any clarity on the matter.

Moreover, users are getting the ‘Finger moved too fast. Please Try Again’ message and the issue persists even after resetting the in-app fingerprint unlock feature.

While many users are affected because of the said issue, they might get a fix for the same in the future.

A OnePlus Staff Member has acknowledged this issue stating that the development team is taking care of it.

Furthermore, it has been mentioned that the said issue will be fixed in future OTA updates. However, no ETA for the same has been provided in the acknowledgement.
