New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 14, 2020) follows:
Huawei has been updating its devices with the EMUI 10.1 update for some time now. While devices like Huawei Mate Xs and Huawei Nova 5T received the Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 update in some regions, there are still some variants of both devices that are yet to get it.
The EMUI 10.1 upgrade plans for several regions were shared by the OEM earlier. Also, we reported that Huawei Mate Xs started receiving the EMUI 10.1 stable update in China followed by Europe and New Zealand. Moreover, Huawei Nova 5T received the EMUI 10.1 beta update in some regions as well.
Now, the OEM has provided the EMUI 10.1 upgrade plans for more regions. As per the newly shared plans, the Huawei Mate Xs and Nova 5T are already receiving the EMUI 10.1 update in West Europe while Russian and Central Asian Nova 5T variants will get it by August-end.
Also, the update is being rolled out to the Huawei Mate Xs and Nova 5T West European variants in batches meaning all users will get it in some time. However, owners of the Nova 5T in Russia and Central Asia will have to wait for a while.
It must be noted that both upgrade plans are for open market versions or unlocked devices. Carrier-locked variants will get the EMUI 10.1 update after a while. Nevertheless, users of the Huawei Mate Xs and Nova 5T can rejoice now that the OEM intends to deliver the latest update soon.
That said, we will keep tracking this story for any developments and will provide an update once more information becomes available. In the meantime, you can check out our Huawei EMUI 10.1 update tracker if your device is yet to receive it.
