Original story (published on May 6) follows:

Huawei has a pair of new software updates rolling out to the Mate 20 Pro and P30 Lite in India. The updates, which are both based on Android 10 OS, are rolling out over the air, tagging along April 2020 security patches.

A good number of Huawei and Honor smartphones have received support for VoWiFi via software updates over the recent past. The likes of Honor 9, Honor 9N, Honor Play, Honor 20i, Honor 8X, Honor 10 Lite, and Huawei P30 Pro already have it.

Huawei has also promised to make the feature available for Honor View 10 in mid-May. Another device that will also get support for VoWiFi calling in a couple or so weeks’ time is the Honor 20.

We understand your interest in VoWiFi upgrade. We would like to inform you that VoWiFi calling feature is under development and expected to be released tentatively by Mid of May’20. We request you to kindly stay tuned to our official pages or Support (HiCare) App for more information. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

As for the Mate 20 Pro and P30 Lite, the VoWiFi updates are arriving as EMUI 10.0.0.208(C675E6R1P5) and 10.0.0.195(C675E9R1P3), respectively. The former weighs in at 1.06GB while the latter clocks at 593MB.

According to HuaweiCentral, the P30 Lite VoWiFi update is also accompanied by support for Huawei Assistant and Smart Charge. Where the former is here to take on the Google Assistant, the latter is meant to improve battery health.

To access Huawei Assistant, simply swipe right on the home screen. As for Smart Charge, you can enable it via Settings > Battery > More battery settings > Smart Charge.

These are OTA updates, meaning VoWiFi may take some time to hit all Mate 20 Pro and P30 Lite handsets in India, so stay patient as you wait for your turn.
