Hogwarts Legacy has received good reviews from critics and has gained popularity within a short span of time.

But some bugs and glitches in the game spoil the enjoyment of the gamers. For instance, we recently covered an issue where some Hogwarts Legacy players faced problems due to frame drops and crashes at ‘preparing Shaders’.

This time, some are experiencing difficulties while trying to navigate within the in-game menu.

Some players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) are facing an issue where the menu-related animations are slow. This makes going through the options clunky and aggravating.

Gamers don’t like the game’s menu system as it’s sluggish to open or navigate and just all-around unintuitive.

A PS5 owner complains that they have to wait for each individual tab to load before they can switch to the next. This makes their combat choppy.

Some even feel that the map interface is not well-designed as it does not give them easy access to the side missions.

The crap controls are my main gripes with this otherwise amazing game. Who on the dev team thought it was a good idea to apply PC controls for console players? Menu navigation is clunky and feels like a chore. I’d much rather use the D-pad for menu selection instead of an annoying PC cursor.

I’m really just posting this because I HATE the menu system so much, it’s slow to navigate and to open, and just all around unintuitive. Desperately hope they hear concerns for an update.

Some players share the opinion that there should be a ‘quick toggle’ option for the HUD, as they don’t need the HUD display on their screen half the time.

However, the players’ dilemma doesn’t end here. Some (1,2,3,4,5,6) are of the view that the situation is even worse on consoles, as they have to navigate the menu and map with the help of a cursor.

A Redditor complains that it’s a bit unwieldy to be constantly trying to use the D-pad to navigate the menus.

Another gamer alleges that it is even cumbersome to fast travel in the game because of a number of quest icons and floor travel points.

The console owners are requesting the developers to rework the cursor so that they can have a smooth experience. Some have even asked for an accessibility option to use the d-pad.

Also, you can increase the cursor movement speed from the general settings.

The PlayStation 5 console owners can also make use of a trackpad for the cursor movement. We are hopeful that the game developers will fix this issue with the next update.
