Apple’s MacBook and Mac mini series of devices are used by many people across the globe. However, users have been facing an issue with the text displayed on their MacBook and Mac mini.
As per multiple reports, users of the MacBook and Mac mini have been noticing blurry or pixelated text on external display.
Users have been facing this problem for quite some time and it seems there is a simple explanation for this problem.
According to an affected user, this issue is occurring with external monitors plugged into MacBook/Mac mini running macOS Mojave or later.
This is because Apple apparently removed an option to adjust subpixel antialiasing which is why users are unable to see sharp text.
However, an alternate solution is available for affected users in the form of a third-party app known as RDM.
A Reddit user has pointed out that configuring the external display plugged into MacBook or Mac mini using the RDM HiDPI and Retina resolutions can fix the blurry or pixelated text issue.
Also, many users have tried the RDM app on their MacBook or Mac mini with external monitors and it seems to be resolving the said problem for them.
While Apple has not made any comments on the matter so far, it is unclear whether an adjustment setting will be added for the said issue in the future or not.
However, the RDM app appears to be a decent enough solution for the blurry text problem for the time being.
So, be sure to give RDM a go if you are also facing the blurry or pixelated text problem on your MacBook or Mac mini with external monitor. It’s here.
Moreover, feel free to drop a comment below and let us know if the RDM app fixes the problem for you.
That said, we will report back with more details as and when we get new information to share so stay tuned.
