Latest updates on Poco F1 problems, issues, and bugs (including screen bleeding)

Update (January 08):

Team Poco has confirmed some important details related to Poco F1 bugs/issues and new features. The battery drain and touch issues have been fixed internally and will be available in next update. In addition, features like 960FPS slo-mo and Night mode are coming as well.

The company has also confirmed the 4K 60FPS recording feature is coming, and have asked for details from those facing PUBG issues. Catch the complete story here.

Xiaomi recently revealed that its new budget flagship Poco F1 earned the company INR 200 crores in its fist sale, which translates into around $2 billion.

Of course, that’s impressive.

And guess what, the device is again on (open) sale today, just in case you’re looking to purchase it.

However, in this story, the focus is on the problem, bugs, or issues reported with the device. And there are many.

We first covered about Poco F1 problems a couple of weeks back. At that time, the company offered word on several issues.

The list included Ok Google not working, PUBG mobile audio problem, missing notification icons, 4K 60fps support for rear camera, and Widevine L1 HD compatibility issue.

Then last week came the second wave of confirmations.

Poco offered word on the multi touch problems (that have been reported pretty widely), as well as confirmed notch cutting PUBG mobile content.

And now, we have collected for you the third wave of confirmations and updates from the company regarding Poco F1 issues.

To begin with, the company has confirmed an issue that causes yellow tint in images taken through the device’s camera.

Also, Poco support responded in affirmative when asked if the camera shutter lag can also be fixed:

There are also reports that both Asphalt 8 and 9 are showing as incompatible with the Poco F1.

The company says they are working with game developer Gameloft to fix this.

Moving on, Poco also effectively acknowledged the screen bleeding problem, saying they did receive such complaints.

So you are advised to get in touch with Poco if your unit is also plagued with screen bleeding problem.

Next up, the issue where Android Auto display is chopped off on the head unit has also been brought to the company’s notice.

All these issues should be fixed in the upcoming update.

However, sadly, there’s currently no concrete information as to when the update in question will arrive.
