Harry Potter Wizards Unite update : Adventure Sync arrives for the game, its details & features

Niantic expanded the Harry Potter franchise into an augmented reality world with the Wizards Unite game. Harry Potter Wizards Unite game has successfully completed it’s seven months. In such a short period of time, the game has gained a large number of players.

The game was released on June 21, 2019, and has been developed by Niantic. The game is similar to Pokemon Go in many terms. However, the game didn’t become popular like Pokemon Go. But Niantic is constantly adding interesting events to the game which will surely its player base in the coming time.

Many Wizards Unite players were facing network issue earlier this week, which has been reportedly fixed now. You can get more details regarding it by heading here. Coming to now, Niantic has introduced the Adventure Sync feature to the game after a long wait.

In September 2019, Niantic teased the poster for the arrival of the Adventure Sync to the game. But it took a considerably long time for the feature to finally become available to the game. Adventure Sync is one of the most desired features of the Wizards Unite as it allows the game to track the distance of Portmanteaus.

Today, in an official blog post Niantic has revealed that the new Adventure Sync feature is rolling out for the game. Adventure Sync will connect with Apple Health or Google Fit to record your walking distance even while Harry Potter: Wizards Unite isn’t running. Players can enable this new feature from the settings.

Once enabled in the Settings menu, your walking distance will be tallied in the background and applied toward your Portkey Portmanteaus. Adventure Sync is completely optional and can be turned on or off at any time in the game settings.

Alongside the release of Adventure Sync, Niantic is also be making some updates to Portkeys and the rewards collected from them. Players will notice that they will be able to hold two additional Portmanteaus in their inventory, now for a total of 10.

As players will unlock Portmanteaus, there will also be new artwork to visually differentiate between the different types–2 km Portmanteaus will reveal a Boot, 5 km a Kettle, and 10 km a Deflated Ball.

Players will also notice that some Portkey environments, such as Umbridge’s Office, that were previously available during Brilliant Events, will be appearing again. In addition, tapping Wrackspurts within any Portkey will now also have a chance to reward players with Spell Energy.
