Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is a popular location-based augmented reality game. It is developed by the same team that developed Pokemon Go.
The main aim of the game is to save the magic of the Wizarding World from leaking into the Muggle world. The player can do so by collecting Foundables.
In order to do so, you must take move around in the real world and interact with certain points. It is available on both Android as well as iOS.
Like Pokemon Go, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has its own share of bugs and issues that make their way through.
After the recent bug that caused the game to crash when opening the Spell Energy gift, another bug is wreaking havoc.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players are now reporting that using a potion during Wizarding challenges causes the game to crash or restart.
The app reconnect but I’m not being returned to the room after restart – bloody frustrating!! i have lost both my runestones, my potions etc This has happened twice in a row – what’s going on??!!

I was kicked out of Dark 1 twice in a row (making that 4 times in the last few days). Not only did I lose Runestones I was robbed of potions by getting dropped from the tower runs.

Recent user reports indicate that the issue is widespread and causes the players to lose the potion and the fight. While they can always retry fighting, users are irritated because the game is not giving back potions used.
Players are getting the error both on Wi-Fi and cellular networks. Hundreds of users have complained about the frequent disconnections and expressed their frustration since they are unable to complete the Wizarding challenges.
Niantic might lose some players if the ongoing bugs and glitches are not fixed soon. We hope the developers release an emergency update that fixes the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite potion crash issue.
