If you are into sports anime, then you probably already follow the most-popular sports shounen TV series Haikyu!! celebrating Volleyball, which is currently on air. The ongoing fourth season titled ‘Haikyu!! To The Top’ has been split in two ‘cour’ (or parts), with episode 12 ending in a cliffhanger.
The next episode 13 titled ‘The Second Day’ is expected to be released on April 3, and according to the recently released preview visuals, we can anticipate some nail-biting action. Weekly Shonen Jump shared this poster from the upcoming TV anime, previewing an exciting climax on April 3.
The key visuals released this time include Karasuno High School, led by Shoyo Hinata and Toshio Kageyama, and Karasuno answering his challenge with equal gusto. Members of Inarizaki High School are also featured in the visual.
Season 4 is currently focusing on Karasuno High School performances at the Spring High School National Volleyball Championship, which starts from the middle of manga at volume 23 to volume 42.
The upcoming episode is supposed to be based on the chapter ‘Day 2’ from the original manga ‘Haikyuu!!’ According to the chapter overview, we can guess that the upcoming episode would pick up from the night before the day of the nationals.
The team would find out that they would be facing the runner-up of the Interhigh Tournament, Inarizaki High. What’s more, twist awaits them as they discover that Atsumu Miya has a twin.
In the previous episode, ‘Vivid’ Karasuno encountered their fated rival Nekoma. Later Karasuno gets some much-needed rest after an intense day before the team starts preparing for their next opponent. Meanwhile, Tanaka finally gets the chance to talk with his childhood friend, Kanoka Amanai.
Haikyu!! is produced by Production I.G and its English translated episodes are available on Crunchyroll. The second half of season 4 is scheduled for a July 2020 release. The current opening theme is “Phoenix” by Burnout Syndromes and the ending theme is “Kessen Spirit” by CHiCO with HoneyWorks.
