Guild Wars 2 bug with Istani Bounty Hunter achievement not giving credit likely fixed, as per some user reports

If you are into online role-playing games, you must have heard of Guild Wars 2 at some point in time. It is the successor to the much-loved Guild Wars.

Developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSoft in 2012, the game is set in the imaginary world of Tyria and features a dynamic storyline that responds to the player’s action.

Unlike the first iteration of the game, Guild Wars 2 has no subscription fees and features two PvP modes.

Having said that, the game is currently in its ninth year. However, the frequent addition of content has resulted in some bugs and glitches.

In the last few weeks, Guild Wars 2 players have reported that the game is crashing during the second phase of the treasure hunt in Labyrinthine Cliffs.

Last month, Guild Wars 2 players also reported that a bug was preventing them from getting credit after completing the Istani Bounty Hunter achievement.

I’m at 1/5 progress for it. I killed all of them, some multiple times. I’ve given up on this achievement. I was already frustrated enough with Amala not counting for the recap event. It’s not worth the hassle. I’m not here to play RNG with achievements and their bugs & glitches.

Have also been experiencing this bug while trying to complete the “Istani Bounty Hunter” achievement. Currently stuck at 1/5. Have reported each failure through the bug report system. The Return to Daybreak bounty achievement has been completed at 5/5, so that seems to be accepting credit without issue.

Players say that after defeating Simoom the Accursed and Lady Shamshir, they received the standard bounty rewards but were unable to collect credits and make progress in the achievement.

Allegedly, the Istani Bounty Hunter achievement was fixed in the recent update, but some of those affected do not agree.

There is no way of knowing if the achievement can be completed or not since the majority of players have already moved to a new map.

Can confirm, just did matriarch now because my achievement’s progress was stuck at just smoldge, and it COUNTED THE MATRIARCH! I am now going to do Simoom to make sure it’s not a glitch. Update: YES IT COUNTED SIMOOM. finally……… I will be released…. from this achievement…
