In order to compete with the likes of Apple’s iMessage and other text messaging apps, Google pumped its own platform with some new features.

In fact, the growing influence of Google on users globally and the ongoing debate on privacy have pushed Google to revamp Google Messages.

The implementation of chat features that let users text over the internet, many in-app features, and optimizations are the reason why Google Messages has been welcomed by many.

Scheduling a text is one of those features that Google has borrowed from its own platform Gmail and is now integrating it into Google Messages.

The maiden update to integrate Schedule texts in Google Messages app reportedly began back in February this year.

But even after months of its rollout, this feature isn’t yet visible in the app, leaving a lot of users gawking.

Well, we now have answers. A product expert, in response to the piling reports, has cleared the reason why we still don’t have this feature.

According to him, a bug obstructed the rollout of this feature, and Google was forced to halt it.

He goes on to assure that the issue is now resolved and Google has resumed the rollout.

Since Google is slowly rolling out this feature, it will take weeks, if not days to finally make its debut on more devices.

The best way to check if you got this feature is by tapping and holding the send button in the chat and wait to see if a schedule dialog pops up. In case it doesn’t appear, you still have to wait for some time.

From business-related texts to wishing people on the anniversaries, this feature may come in handy for a lot of purposes.

Google is hustling to build an environment for Android users and the tech giant will continue to offer features like these in the future.

Stay tuned to never miss any ongoing development in this field.
