Google Meet came to everyone’s aid last year when it was very much needed. The video-communication service offers some pretty handy features.
Among them, the raise hand feature which allows users to easily let the moderators know if they want to speak up.
While the raise hand feature came out late last year, some users have been unable to use it on their Android tablets.
As per multiple threads on the Google Support community, the Google Meet raise hand button is missing for several users.
User reports indicate that they have been using the Google Workspace editions on which the raise hand feature is available. However, the option to use it is not appearing in the app on some Android tablets.
I’m using samsung tab s7, it doesn’t show the hand raising icon during the meeting.

The very first reports on this issue came to light right after the raise hand feature was released.
It seems that the issue is still causing inconvenience to those with Android tablets, while the tech giant is figuring a way to resolve it.
A Google Support Community Expert also said that the issue is being looked into by the Google Meet team but there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.
This issue has been reported to Google Meet. I don’t know when you will get the update.
