Google Fit is among the most used fitness tracking apps and it is also used by many on smartwatches. Now that the Galaxy Watch 4 devices offer One UI Watch based on Wear OS 3.0, users are installing Google Fit on them as well.
However, users of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are having a tough time using Google Fit on the smartwatches.
As per several reports, Google Fit is not syncing with the Galaxy Watch 4 devices and is giving the Google Play services error.
Galaxy Watch 4 users are finding it hard to sync their Google Fit tracking data with Samsung Health or vice versa as there is no in-built support to do so.
This has further led users to go for third-party options like the Health Sync app which helps to sync Samsung Health and Google Fit tracking data.
Hi! Just received this watch and I’m pretty happy with it, but I was wondering if it is possible to sync the data from Samsung Health to Google Fit. I know that there’s a third-party app (Health Sync) that does it, but I was looking for a built-in function.

On the other hand, some Galaxy Watch 4 users are getting the ‘Fit is having trouble with Google Services.’ error which is also preventing them from syncing their smartwatch with their phone.
This appears to be inconveniencing those with Google Workspace (formerly G-Suite) account but a solution for the issue is also available.
It seems installing the Google Apps Device Policy app on Galaxy Watch 4 devices fixes the Google Play services error on Google Fit.
Installing the Google Apps Device Policy app on my watch seems to fix the issue.

It is only natural for such issues to occur on the Galaxy Watch 4 devices as the Wear OS 3.0-based One UI Watch platform is quite new.
While both scenarios can be dealt with the aforementioned workarounds, there is always room for improvement with future One UI Watch (Wear OS 3.0) incremental updates.
However, Samsung and Google have not made any comments on how they are going to further improve the platform in the future.
That said, we will be back with more stories related to Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Wear OS 3.0 as and when we get new information.
