Multimedia Messaging Service aka MMS helps you send or receive media content over your cellular network. Although there are some limitations (like maximum forty-second duration for video), millions of users rely upon it.

Oddly, Google Fi is going through an MMS outage now. Going by a Reddit thread, it started at around 1:00 PM PST and is never allowing the users to send or receive messages. Adding fuel to the fire, usual troubleshooting practices don’t work in this case.

MMS Messages Broken Since around 1 PST. Anyone else?
Support
Chat works. SMS works. MMS is never received.

Tested with a Group chat and multiple images on different providers.

My wifes phone and mine (both on Fi) cannot send or receive MMS. Mine is Pixel 4 XL. She is Pixel 3.

In ONE case someone keeps receiving the same image multiple times like spam.

Anyone else experiencing this today?

(Restarted, tried different networks via signal spy, tried repair code)

The customers are irritated to have missed the chance to have fun with their loved ones over MMS on the Christmas eve. It’s over 8 hours and the breakdown is still going strong.

I have been on help chat for over an hour. They have been having me go through all sorts of trouble shooting that is not working. I have mentioned this tweet twice and they have told me that it does not pertain to me – that I am not receiving messages because of another issue.
