This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on April 28) follows:
It seems a few bugs have surfaced the Google Chrome browser. As per several reports, users are getting “STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION” and “STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH” errors whenever they are trying to open any website.
The problem seems to be with the version number Chrome Version 81.0.4044.92, though it is unclear what is the reason causing this issue on the Google Chrome browser.
Several users have tried reinstalling Windows 10 as well as the Chrome browser to no luck as they continue getting these errors while using the web browser.
In fact, users have also reported that in order to temporarily fix this issue, they have to refresh the page, multiple times, before this issue starts surfacing again.
Check out some of the detailed reports below:
I have looked up a lot of things in an attempt to fix this with none of them working. I eventually deleted chrome in its entirety and reinstalled it and the issue is still occurring. I can still use chrome but it crashes whenever I use it and I have to refresh the page 10-20 times before it starts working again.

I have uninstalled and restarted several times and it has not worked. I have tried to delete my user profile in the browser. With the consequent path of the Windows file explorer, we navigate to the path C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data . I have deleted the Default folder, and made a copy and we save it in another path as a backup and then I have deleted it from the User Data folder. Uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled without working.

There are several other users who have reported similar errors and bugs reports in the official Google support page. And the reports related to “STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH” are also more in number, the reason behind the issue, of course is unknown.
my chrome can not load at the very first time i use it
and there is an error –> Error Code:STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH
how do i must fix it???
thanks a lot for your attention(Source)
For a few days (after the last update) when I open Chrome I load all the cards with this error “STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH”. It signals me via popup errors in loading extensions. It doesn’t even allow me to check the settings or anything.
Installing version 77 does not bother me but as soon as it is updated it locks itself.(Source)
As far as the solution is concerned, Google is yet to acknowledge this issue surfacing the Google Chrome browser. Moreover, it is also not clear whether a Windows update is the culprit behind this issue or the Google Chrome update is to be blamed.
The reports are yet to escalated to the concerned department. We will keep our eyes on this matter and will keep you updated about any further development in this regard.

Update 3 (February 13, 2021)
Unfortunately, even after several months, the issue has only persisted. However, we were able to find a couple of workarounds that have solved the problem for many. And you are free to try both.
Below change fixed the issue:
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application
2. You can see Chrome icon, Right click on it and go to Properties
3. In the general tab, you can see the name as Chrome
4. Change the name to chrom.exe
5. Close the Properties, Now the Chrome icon change to Chrom.exe
6. Close all folders and go back to chrome to execute
7. Issue resolved

And although a Product Expert did claim that the issue has been fixed, the fact that complaints have only continued to flow in says otherwise.
