Android 11 released last month and several Pixel series devices have already bagged the latest OS update.

Google has already announced the Pixel 5 which is expected to be released with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

While Google Pixel devices are well known for their vanilla Android experience, what makes them desirable is the camera setup.

Google Pixel devices, especially the Pixel 4 series, offer the finest of camera setups in terms of hardware as well as software.

The Camera app on the Pixel series devices drives the underlying hardware in a way which supersedes most high-end Android devices and even Apple’s iPhone.

This is also a major reason why Android users go for Google Camera mods for their devices as these mods improve the overall camera performance.

With the Pixel 5, the OEM has further improved the camera app by adding some advanced features like the Ultra-Wide angle mode.

The Pixel 5 comes with a 16 megapixels ultra-wide angle lens for which a separate mode has been added in the Google Camera version 8.0.

Just like most of the Pixel camera features are available via GCam Mods for a bunch of Android devices, this feature might also make its way to other devices that can support it.

Apart from that, the new camera app includes a revamped UI for all modes, however, not all features will make it to other devices simply due to hardware limitations.

It must be noted that the Night and Astrophotography modes from the Pixel devices are available through GCam Mods for a lot of Android devices.

This clearly shows the hardware potential of Android devices and given that a proper software platform is provided, the feats these devices can achieve.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates when new information becomes available.
