MIUI 12 is the new “talk of the town”, thanks to the millions of Xiaomi users and fans that cannot keep calm since the launch of MIUI 12 in China on April 27, and are eagerly waiting for getting hands-on the UI.

Xiaomi also has not kept its users under the wraps and has shed out as many details as possible, including the list of devices that will pick up the update along with a timeline which states that the MIUI 12 open beta updates will go live from May 8, in China.

Matter of fact, a few days after the launch, the Chinese OEM has already started recruiting users of over 30 Xiaomi devices, in China, for the closed beta or internal testing of MIUI 12.

The OEM has also confirmed that the stable update will be pushed from June to the Chinese units. But, things do not stop here. While the smartphone world is talking about the MIUI 12, Xiaomi has already started with the MIUI 12 developmental survey.

This also gives us a hint that Xiaomi wants to stay well ahead for the future and nothing, even the COVID-19 pandemic cannot stop the company from racing ahead.

However, what’s common in all the above-stated information is that they are limited for Chinese variants of the Xiaomi phones. Global users were still not given any hint or timeline on which they can expect MIUI 12 on their devices.

Well, that changes now, because going by the comment by one of the Xiaomi moderators in an official community forum post, the MIUI 12 Global announcement is going to be made soon and the global update launch is near.
