New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on October 11, 2022) follows:
Samsung Galaxy Z series is a collection of high-end smartphones that come with impressive foldable displays.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are the most popular variants of the series because of the hardware and software improvements they offer when compared to the previous generations.
The skinnier Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 with tweaked dimensions offers a larger screen and an almost tablet-like experience.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, on the other hand, offers a rather traditional smartphone experience that folds down into a compact pocketable size.
Both these smartphones currently ship with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 and users are eager to know when they’ll be able to access the new version of the OS.
Android 13 rollout for Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 4
Even though Samsung has already rolled out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta to a few smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 may just receive the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 stable build directly.
This has been confirmed by one of the Samsung Care Ambassadors on the official community forum.
Unfortunately, there is no exact information on whether the Z4 will receive the One Ui beta firmware, the Fold 4 and Flip may just receive the Final Stable Android 13 version

Moreover, SamMobile has also shared a list of Samsung smartphones claiming that they will surely receive the One UI 5.0 stable build by the end of this year.
These devices include the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 lineups along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 4, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Flip 4.
That said, it’ll be interesting to note how the alleged decision to directly roll out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 4 turns out to be.
We will keep an eye on further developments and update this article accordingly.
